3rd Saturday of Every Month 12:30pm – 1:30pm starting March 21, 2020

Improve the literacy skills of children through the assistance of Wilson, a certified therapy dog. They can read a book aloud to Wilson to make them more confident in reading.

Children must sign up for 10 minute time slots if they would like to read to Wilson. You can call to sign up with the library.

Free. For elementary to middle school students. Home-schooled students are welcome.

Dungeons & Dragons

D&D&D: Dungeons and Dragons and Doug! Come to the Tivoli Library and play Dungeons and Dragons with Game Master Doug. Explore new and exciting worlds in Dungeons and Dragons as well as try out out new tabletop role-playing games.

No experience necessary, all skill levels welcome and materials will be provided. All you need to bring is your love for the game!

Leap Year Party!

Saturday, February 29th from 12:30-1:30pm

Leap into the new year with a fun filled afternoon!

Slurp up some swamp water, hop into a game of Lily Pad Hop, and make a little something for our time capsule (time capsule will be opened during next leap year).

Information

The Tivoli Free Library provides quality programs and materials to the people of Tivoli and surrounding communities. Situated in the historic Watts dePeyster Firemans Hall, in the heart of the village, the library is just west of the shops and restaurants. The building is also home to the Village offices and court.

Museum Passes

The following museum passes can be checked out for 3 days and must be returned to the Tivoli Free Library (not in the dropbox or elsewhere, please). No renewals, and overdue fines are $5.00 per day. You need a valid Mid-Hudson System Library Card in good standing. Available at Circulation Desk – passes cannot be reserved, so please call to check availability. Call or stop by for more info!

Olana State Historic Site

Olana is a 250-acre artist-designed landscape with a Persian-inspired house at its summit, embracing unrivaled panoramic views of the vast Hudson River Valley. Pass admits 2; tour reservations must be made in advance; 15% discount at the museum store.

FASNY Museum of Firefighting

Located in Hudson, NY, the Museum of Firefighting pass admits a family of four (2 adults, 2 children) to this hands-on museum celebrating 3 centuries of firefighting with over 60 engines, apparatus, and art.

MASS MoCA

The Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art is located in North Adams, MA. The pass admits 2 adults and 2 children to the museum galleries.

Empire Pass

The New York State Empire Pass will allow entry of one vehicle at most New York State parks, DEC preserve areas, boat launch sites, arboretums and park preserves (full list available at https://parks.ny.gov/admission/empire-passport/). Call or visit the library for more info!
